The Montreal Cake Show is pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s 2012 Wedding Cake competition, showcasing the wedding cake of 2013, will win the prestigious prize of their very own booth at the 33rd edition of the Sheldon Kagan International Le Salon de la Mariée, Montreal’s longest running bridal exhibition of its kind inQuebec!

That’s right folks, this year’s Wedding Cake winner will receive the golden opportunity to showcase their talents to the thousands of brides and grooms attending the Le Salon de la Mariée organized by Sheldon Kagan International, being held at the Palais des congrès convention centre in Montreal February 2 & 3, 2013.

Caking with Anne Heap

Anne Heap has had a love for baking since the age of 6, and this desire to follow her dreams has led her to be recognized by numerous publications, public figures and TV networks over the last 25 years. The Pink Cake Box founder has been featured in The New York Times, People Magazine, InStyle Weddings, Modern Bride and many others. In addition, Anne was also a part of a special production by Martha Stewart called “The Art of Wedding Cakes II”.

Anne is making her way to Montreal and she’s bringing all her experience to help share what she loves most and teach others her baking secrets. Get wild with Anne, while learning all the different techniques to create fun animal prints for cakes, cupcakes and cookies in her wild animal print class. If you still have animal fever, you can come learn everything you need to know to make adorable stitched gumpaste animals for your cakes in the Stitched Animals class.

You can also learn how to create one of Pink Cake Box’s signature Mommy-to-be gumpaste cake toppers. Learn how to create a figure from begining to end and important details on customizing your figure’s hair style and outfit.

Sugar decorations & jewelry prep class shines bright

Another very successful prep class this past Sunday in St-Laurent. Sugar Decorations & Jewelry class was taught by Suzanne Charbonneau of Savauri Sugar assisted by Silvia Latour of Short N Sweet By Sil.

It was a great day and we can’t wait to see what the next sold out class (Figurine Creation: Bedtime Story on Sept 30th) will bring!
